This application was designed by graphic design student Rowan Maher for her thesis project. The application is highly visual, and is primarily front end. It presents the user with many tips and tricks for their chosen mode of public transportation (currently only microbuses), provides them with a functioning playlist, shows them the nearest stops using Google Maps API and their prices, presents them with GIFs to explain what the different hand signs mean, contains a dictionary with the unique terms and phrases used in public transportation, provides a diagram of a microbus with descriptions for each seat, and entertains users with mini-games, etc.

It currently only exists as an iOS application implemented with Swift. There is no back-end at all as it mainly serves as a prototype, with all images and media being shipped onto the device upon installation. It is implemented in both Arabic & English (which can be toggled from the settings page) with all visual elements, animations, and fonts being fully customized.

  1. Hey! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog. Is it very difficult to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Cheers
